I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth–
Assorted characters of death and blight
Mixed ready to begin the morning right,
Like the ingredients of a witches’ broth–
A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,
And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

Witching Hour
In the crystal tower
upon this very hour
with sky growing dark
the coven has gathered
with chants to leave their mark
In the crystal tower
voices of enchantment
begin to rise up high
with the witches moon dance
praise to Diana’s eye
In the crystal tower
trembling with high powers
of spells to soon be cast
and magic that still lives
